OUR VISION
The Three Lagoons Sustainability Program has been an active non-profit organization since 2017 that aims to teach and practice sustainable methods of growing, planting, and educating the public.
OUR MISSION
To promote sustainable development through conservation, education, research, and tourism.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
In 2015 I began as a tour guide for people from all around the world. Belize offers many tour adventures including cave tubing, scuba diving, fishing expeditions, and Mayan ruins. I enjoyed showing them the Belizean culture, particularly for eco-adventurists, who also wanted to learn about Belize’s ecological biodiversity, as it boasts species of wildlife and plants known unique to Belize. But over the years, I saw the destruction of areas from natural erosion and the high demands of commercial logging. The consequences of such meant that fish and wildlife diversity was impacted, and our many villages depended on the health of the areas around our lagoons. To remediate the situation, I founded the Three Lagoons Sustainability Program which aims to restore and reforest mangrove and mahogany trees in devasted areas. These serve as natural barriers for Belize and protection from hurricanes and surges, for my generation and the next. As the tourism industry rebounds, my vision for the Three Lagoons Sustainability Program is to offer eco-adventure tours, and continue to teach and practice
Eco-Guardianship to our local schoolchildren and their families.

Clean-up Campaigns

In many villages and towns of Belize, litter lines the streets. Our goal is to educate children to dispose of garbage correctly and to clean up after themselves so that Belize will remain beautiful and streets are kept clean.
Three Lagoons Sustainability Program hosts clean-up events bi-monthly by providing supplies to villages across Corozal District to engage community beautification.
WE’RE RAISING A GENERATION OF ECO-GUARDIANS

FOR THE BEAUTY AND
SOCIAL EQUITY OF BELIZE &
WE’RE TAKING STEPS TO SAFEGUARD IT

As a result of industrial development, deforestation, and natural erosion, the Queens’ Land water bank – a 66-foot reserve from high water to the shore – as well as the three lagoons: Laguna Seca, Cocos, and Progresso, are drastically changing the landscape of the Belizean rainforest and the delicate, ecological balance between the people and wildlife who inhabit it.
Through the Three Lagoons Sustainability Program (TLSP), we seek to protect these natural filters, which provide an abundance of ‘natural capital’, such as oxygen and naturally occurring minerals that inject oxygen into the subtropical regions, which are also home to the world’s most fertile farming soils.
Knowing our earthly resources are finite and our consumption is high, we must slow down and remediate the destruction of this bountiful landscape that we critically depend on – locally and globally.

REFORESTATION
To improve the biodiversity of surrounding villages and to recover areas damaged by the logging industry, we reforest mahogany and restore mangrove seedlings during rainy season
in devastated areas to bolster ecological diversity
SUSTAINABLE FARMING

Due to the recent dry seasons, mahogany seedlings have become scarce. With the contributions from our partners, donors, and sponsors, we are growing them right in our own greenhouse!

EDUCATION
Encourage schoolchildren to preserve the landscape for future generations by instilling a conservational and fiduciary mindset.
